Saturday 3rd January, 11:30pm
The fleet is complete with the final boat, Flying Fish Let loose, skippered by Russell Bonner and the International sailing training company, having just crossed the finish line, as the last boat in the 2009 Pittwater to Coffs Harbour Yacht Race.
She crossed the line at 11:23:14pm on Saturday 3rd January 2009. All
other boats have now completed the 226 nautical mile journey and are
safely moored in the marina and now enjoying a quiet litle drink in
Coffs Harbour Yacht Club.
Let loose are now on their way to
their berth and as radio reported to RVCP are looking forward to "beers, beers,
beers." Thoroughly deserved and welcome to Coffs Harbour. A successful
Coffs race with just the one retirement, Cyrene 3 due to multiple crew
sea sickness.
All the crews can rest (or party) tonight and look forward to the Solitary Island race on Monday which commences at 12pm followed by the prize giving at Coffs Harbour Yacht Club on Monday evening.
Final Divisional winners will be announced tomorrow.
