Pittwater & Coffs Harbour Offshore Series Partners Activity Days
Tuesday 3 January
Walk around the township of Dorrigo (stop for morning tea) and Dangar Falls, then visit to Dorrigo National Park waterfalls, lunch at Rainforest Centre and optional short easy (30 minute) or longer harder (1 hour) walk (medium fitness level). Dorrigo National Park was included on the World Heritage list in 1986 and is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia. It is a place of ancient buttressed figs, giant tallow woods and Australian cedars of natural beauty and significant habitats. It was once heavily logged for its valuable cedar. This picturesque town has a good choice of cafes, boutiques, galleries and craft shops.
Leaving the Yacht Club at 10.00, return approx 3.30.
Coach cost (based on 30 guests) $25 per person, plus lunch and drinks, allow approx $8-$18 for lunch and drinks.
Thursday 5 January
Tour Coffs and Northern Hinterland Visit to RD Opal Centre - cutting and polishing of opals and gemstones and retails sales; Lolly making demo at the Candy Kitchen; morning tea at the Big Banana Cafe and Giftshop, back to yacht club to do 11.30 pick up, guided tour and tasting at Carobana Carob Factory - a working factory manufacturing Carob Coated products, Honeycomb products, Brittles, Peppermint & Orange Buds; approx 1.00pm lunch at Kookaburra Cafe Nana Glen, followed by wine tasting at Two Tails Winery Nana Glen, visit to Mountain Ash Pottery Coramba, visit to the Australian Wildflower Jewellery Gallery - Australian designs in necklaces, bracelets, ear-rings, 24ct gold and silver plated, pewterware crafted from Australian lead-free pewter.
Leaving the Yacht Club at 9.00am or 11.30am, return approx 4-4.30pm.
Coach cost (based on 30 guests) $25 per person, plus food and drinks, allow $5-$10 for morning tea and $15-$25 for lunch (including sweets and drinks).
Friday 6 January
Tour Southern Hinterland Visit to Butterfly Gallery Walk-amongst the beauty and diversity of Australia's vast range of butterflies in an indoor subtropical rainforest setting, then on to Sawtell for boutique shopping and morning tea, back to club to do 11.30 pick up, off to the Old Butter Factory at Bellingen - amidst a peaceful garden atmosphere enjoy the range and quality of the arts, crafts and gifts for sale, and the talents of the people who have created them - leathercraft designers, sculpture and pottery, souvenirs and sports memorabilia, woodcraft items and imported and Australian glass products items to name a few. Approx 1.00pm lunch at Federal Hotel and wander the shops of Bellingen, then on to Raleigh Winery, a small family run boutique winery for more local wine tasting.
Leaving the Yacht Club at 9.00am or 11.30am, return approx 4-4.30pm.

Entry to Butterfly Gallery is $16 per person, or under 16s- $8 (as at October 2010). Wine tasting is $2.50 per person.
I would like to register for the following activity days ("Event") at $25 per day (coach costs). All other expenses (meals, drinks, entry fees etc) are to be paid by me direct to the provider on the day of travel. I understand that the coach costs are not refundable if I cancel or am unable to attend on the day (but I may send another person in my place), and that all travel and activities associated with the Event are undertaken at my own risk. I indemnify and release Coffs Harbour Yacht Club and the Event organisers from any loss, damages or injury I incur as a result of participating in the Event.
