Online Entry System launched for 30th Anniversary Pittwater to Coffs Race

The online entry system for the 30th Anniversary Pittwater to Coffs Harbour Race, hosted by the RPAYC, has been launched on the event website. With plenty of interest and a number of entries already in the 30th event, the online entry system in collaboration with Top Yacht, will facilitate the entry process and alleviate the pile of paperwork normally required to enter the Cat 2 race.

The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club will host the 30th Anniversary Pittwater to Coffs Harbour Race in early January 2011 with a 100 strong fleet expected.

The race began with humble beginnings back in 1981 with just 14 boats. Keith Le Compte’s Kaufman 37 ‘White Pointer’ won in a time of 47hrs 31mins. “We had a desire to go North rather than South. I remember there was a big welcoming party when we crossed the finish line at Coffs. The locals were right behind it, it was great! We received a big bunch of bananas and a case of beer,” said Le Compte.

'Pretty Woman' the first to enter the 30th Pittwater to Coffs Race

‘Pretty Woman’, a Farr 45 is the first boat to enter the 30th anniversary Pittwater to Coffs Harbour yacht race which gets underway on 2 January 2011, hosted by The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club.

Volvo 60 Nikon Spirit of The Maid confirms intention to race with new secret weapon

Volvo 60 'Nikon Spirit of The Maid' will be on the pace when they compete for the Audi Hamilton Island Race Week Performance Racing trophy from August 21-28 and then the 30th Pittwater to Coffs Race , as promised by Bruce Absolon.

The former Rolex Sydney Hobart Race record holder now permanently based at Hamilton Island when not racing in major Australian offshore events, has a new ‘secret weapon in her sail inventory.

Entries open for the 30th Pittwater to Coffs Harbour Race

With the release of the Notice of Race, entries for the 30th Pittwater to Coffs Harbour Yacht Race and associated series in 2011 have opened. The event is hosted by The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club, Newport, Sydney.

Pittwater to Coffs Harbour Yacht Race to celebrate 30 years in 2011

The organisers of the Pittwater to Coffs Harbour Yacht Race, The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club are expecting a large fleet to assemble off Barrenjoey in Sydney’s north to help celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 226nm “warm water classic” which gets underway on 2nd January 2011.
